Silverlight install for mac os x…oh dear

So I tried to install Silverlight today, just out of curiosity, just to see how rubbish it was and what a pain it would be to install. And surprise surprise:

silverlight install os x

I’d give up now if I were you….

    looks like a corrupted download…can you retry? i just uninstalled and re-installed/downloaded and was able to mount.

    The dmg will show up as corrupt if you are on 10.3 since it is bzip compressed (bzip added in 10.4). If you are running 10.3 then that’s a known issue in the alpha. Silverlight isn’t supported on 10.3 anyway so even if you could mount the dmg the installer wouldn’t run anyway.

    I’m on 10.4.10, so that shouldn’t be an issue, I’ll try re-downloading, thanks guys….

    Just downloaded and installed, and it crashes Safari 3.0. Heh. Why am I not surprised?
